Bethel is one of our favorite places in Maine. We highly recommend staying at the Bethel Village Motel in downtown Bethel. The owners are very friendly with excellent services. Bethel is a gem of a town: starting with the cute little grocery store, the Gem Museum, the post office, the church, the Sudbury Inn, all the way up to Maine Line Products Company, the Historical Society and the Library, Bethel is an idyllic and peaceful small town that exemplifies all the best qualifies of Maine and New England. The old charm of the past is everywhere. we simply live it.
